What was your company’s primary use case for SWTCH?

The multi-family community where we installed EV chargers is in Scotts Valley. It is a small, 26 unit project that we developed 20 years ago. We initially had 4 ChargePoint EV chargers. ChargePoint misrepresented our agreement on multiple items and multiple times. When our 5 year commitment was up, we began looking for an alternative company. I spoke with several different EV charger providers. SWTCH seemed like a good fit and had a local Santa Cruz representative, Alyssa. Alyssa and I met virtually and then we met at the property. After that meeting, she prepared a proposal. The proposal laid out all of the initial costs and the ongoing fees. The proposal also included 3 quotes for installation. Then we had a meeting that included our property managers and had many questions answered. Alyssa had already gone over the operating software with our managers. In that we already had the basic infrastructure in place, the installation was only going to take one day. It took a couple of months for the new chargers to arrive. The installers removed ChargePoint's chargers, disposed of them and installed the new SWTCH chargers. SWTCH is in the process of getting certified by PG&E to report monthly EV charging usage so that those Kilowatts can be billed at a significantly lower rate without installing a separate electrical meter. With SWITCH, you get to set the charging price and you can program a discount for your residents. Finally, Alyssa has been on the spot responsive and has dealt with all questions in a professional and expeditious manner.
